When do you guys put mock scrapes out? Is there a such thing as making one too early ? Reason I'm asking is I was thinking about making one the week before the opener here in southern wi and hopefully take one that stopped to check it out? Also what do you guys use to make them?

A chainsaw and a red cedar tree, preorbital scent, a rake and a full bladder is all you need to make a mock scrape.
