September 12th here in Kansas and I can't wait. I'll be out hunting the first two evenings if there is a north wind. FYI I recently read an article where the Drury brothers made a comment that 90% of the deer they have shot in the last few years have been with a north wind. I dont know if that's useful information for you guys or not but i thought it was interesting.

What's everyone shooting? I was shooting a Bear Encounter that I shot a number of deer with. However, the buck I shot in Ohio last year heard me draw on him in both encounters I had with him. Fortunately I was able to get the shot off the second encounter. I'm on a tight budget but earlier this year I bought a new 2015 Hoyt Charger that was leftover from last year. I got it with sight, drop away rest, and quiver for $415. I also shot the replacement for the Charger which is the Hoyt Powermax but I liked the way the Charger shot better and it was over $100 cheaper so I couldnt pass it up!

I just bought a 2015 Hoyt Charger myself! Some guy put it on lay-away last august and never picked it up paid $325 for the bow and $500 for their archery package. Love the bow!

Awesome! Hard to beat deals like that! Did you get the camo version or the blacked out bow?

2014 Hoyt carbon spider. I've been pretty happy with it so far.

New #1 hitlister as far as from what I have on camera yet this year. There's still a bigger deer I got pictures of last fall that will always hold my true #1 spot until hes proven dead...

I'm excited to pull cards this weekend. I am also going to plant a new plot with rye/clover using the throw and grow, or if it's dry the burn, throw and grow method. I also want to hang another hang on stand so I've got options for the different wind. September 15th can't come soon enough

Got this picture today from the other guy that has permission on the farm I hunt. I have pictures of this big 8 point last year, and I think its safe to say he is on the hitlist. :moose:

I'll pull cams 1 more time the week before opener. Hope the studs keep showing up and give me enough data points to put a good early season game plan together. As for bow its all listed in my signature, but I've got the Mathews Halon and HHA Kingpin with FMJ arrows. Love my set-up!
