Hey Guys, not doing much deer related this weekend. I did strip down my bow to prep for a new set of Barnsdale limbs for it and a new string. I may try to go out to the new property tonight and watch over a bean field to see I can get some pics.

Any one doing anything this weekend?

I was out shooting my bow yesterday and watched a small 8 point out in the bean field waking around. I got a ghostblind so I am setting it up today to shoot from it. Can't wait to use it.

Today I'm going to check two of my cams that have been sitting for 3 weeks! I'll post any noteworthy pics.

I looked at those blinds at Cabelas, seem pretty nice. There is nothing like shooting a deer from the ground

Ya I can't wait to use it this year. I will be able to hunt a lot more palaces and be on the go more. I don't have many stands and I'm not a fan of self climbers.

Well, this guy is worth showing, because I'll shoot him if he comes by me! lol For my woods, he's a good buck. I'll put 2 more cams out in a couple weeks.

I am checking in! Sorry for the delay just been busy hiking around Glacier National Park, just to return and head to Wisc Dells for the kids final summer event. Flung some arrows today and it's just not even fair. Anything in my range = certain death. Good luck to all and thanks Holt for the PM!

Just a reminder that any contest entries must include two photos, with you, your bow and your deer all in the picture together.

Failure to meet those requirements and your entry will be void. It happens pretty often where guys neglect to follow the entry guidelines and are not included.

Does anyone have any team name suggestions?

Great reminder. Take the time to read the contest rules before your season starts. I've been a part of teams where it happened.

That's part of the fun to see them get all bent out of shape about not knowing how to take 2 pics! Unless it's on your team.

One of the best ways for me is to video me with the deer. Then when I put it on the computer I just take 2 screen shots out and post them up. It works really well!

I do not have any that I am chasing in particular. I use to be very selective when I did have great land to hunt. Now the majority of my hunting is on public land. I usually see a good deer every year, then I adjust accordingly to get close to seal the deal. I did that with my 140s class buck last year. So although I do not put out as many cams as I use to, I usually put together a good plan once I start seeing deer from the tree.

As far as pics, I use my phone with a timer app. (Dont know why more people don't do this). 90% of the time I'm alone and the phone is very convenient. Set it to take 10 shots with a 5 second delay. I can move the deer's position and mine with almost every shot, and you end up with a great assortment of pics. I usually end up with about 100 different shots of each kill :)
