I don't mind giving out my number. Where I hunt texting works better than trying to get online to post updates.

This is the buck I took last year. I shot him in the morning about 10am walking back to the cabin to eat lunch, I had passed him the night before only 30yds from where I shot him. It wasn't the big one I was hoping for but it was fun taking him from the ground at 17yds.

Ya He must have been a blast to shoot on the ground!!!! Great looking buck.

I'm OK with giving out my phone number for texting, as long as there's no drunk texting LOL!!!! I'll be posting a lot on the live from the stand thread too.

This year is going to be an interesting & challenging year for me. I have access to 50 acres but this year there's 3 of us with permission to hunt. Theres only so much pressure this property can take before the mature bucks are gone. I've tried to talk with the others about going out the first week of the season & staying away until the last week of Oct. If we stay out of our property the pressure around us will drive the rut activity onto our property.

Unfortunately one of the guys has the ability to hunt everyday if he wants & he doesn't think it's affecting the activity because he doesn't get "busted" while in the woods. We have a great piece of property if we hunt smart. I've tried a subtle approach, direct approach & just can't get through to him.

I've been hunting this property for about 9yrs, this will be his 3rd & the other hunters 1st full season. I'll still get on deer because I know the property so well but I'm trying to get everyone seeing bigger bucks consistently. They like the sound of the plan but can't keep themselves out of the woods.

This buck was taken on the neighboring property last year, about 100yds from one of my stands. The pic doesn't do it justice, it was BIG!

I'm alright with giving my number out as well I have had a few other guys do that on previous teams it's always been cool to do I think. How ever I send mor BDD texts than BBD texts we call a doe a doo (inside joke) amongst my friends I have had a reputation in the past for putting a lot of them in the freezer hints my name on here Wack a doo.

That's kind of a tough predicament hammer man, it's always rough hunting with partners who aren't on the same page as you. Hopefully you're still able to drop a Nice buck like in the picture!

Heading out to my hunting ground. I'll try to take a few pics to post up!

I'm good with giving out my number. My team from last year did a thing I think was called GroupMe or something like that? I think it is pretty much a group text but your numbers can stay private if you want. Not sure if it works off the internet or cell sevice though. Just a thought if people aren't comfortable giving out their numbers.

That's a tough spot Hammer. What you are trying to do makes sense to me but I also get how it can be hard to stay out of the woods. It'd be nice to have another spot that this guy could just go to when he wanted to get out and save the 50 acres for prime time.

If your using "messages" just type in multiple contact names in the "TO:" line. There are a couple free messaging apps that work well.
If everyone has Twitter accounts we can create a group & use direct messages.
