I thought I recognized you from the Maryland thread. I live in Mt Airy, originally from Ellicott City.

Does anyone have any photos of bucks they have taken or prospects for this season to share?

    dnoodles checking in...
27 years bowhunting experience (took a few years off due to college and other life experiences) mostly Midwest whitetails; but I did do a DIY public land elk hunt in Idaho in 2014 where I took a nice cow. Planned on making it out again this season but my partner backed out.

I hunt a few weekends up in central WI on my buddy's land (where I hope to shoot a nice one for the contest.) We get 140-170" bucks on cam every year there but after Oct 7 or so they usually go nocturnal so this season I'm heading up there earlier than previous seasons. From late October on you'll find me on public land in Central MI where I usually get good encounters with 110-120ish deer.

    Good luck to everyone!

Whitetailjunky3 checking in. Looks like were going to have a good team this year. I can't wait for season to start. A little about me. My name is Ryan I live in northwest ohio and I have about 4 different farms i hunt but I'm about to get permission for more. I am married and have a 2 month old daughter. I haven't got to check my cams yet but I hope to soon. I work at a factory making backhoe attachments and I'm also a firefighter. This is my second year bowhunting so I will do my best but I'm still learning. I look forward to a exciting year.

Found some on my phone. The tall narrow 10 pt. Is my #1 as of right now, but that can change.

If you need somebody to shoot that one in the background of the first picture, I'll step up and do it.

I would be happy with any of those 3! That property is a strict no guess club. I picked up a lease this year in Earlville that should have a lot bigger bucks, but I have yet to step foot on it this year. I can take guest there, so if you want to take a day trip there, your more than welcome to come along.

My name is Matt. I live in suburbs of St. Louis. I work as a manufacturing engineer for a company that manufactures lubrication systems for heavy industrial machines. Fun fact (Or not so fun): Half of the building I work in is within Ferguson city limits. I'm married with two kids and one on the way due November 12th (terrible planning!!). Our season starts Sept. 15 and I hope to get a doe early and have a few days to hunt the rut before the baby comes. I will likely be shut down after that but I will be here to cheer you guys on.

I have some cams out now but not much buck activity other than a few smaller bucks. Most of the buck action on the property I hunt starts around Halloween.

Here is my deer from last year. He scored 118 but without the busted G2 he would have went 130 which is a decent deer for my area.

Don't you hate when your buck has a break? He's still a good one. Last year my buck had a broken brow tine! I'm still happy with him.

Yea it's a bummer when they break a point but I haven't got enough bucks under my belt to let him walk.

Last years buck walked in on a string. This particular tree I was sitting in is the same tree I have shot last two bucks and two does. It's actually in the middle of a field about 15 yards off each edge in a corner. There are three good bedding areas within a couple hundred yards on my stand and the bucks like to cruise through this small field scent checking. I sketched up a quick diagram of the area.

    Red dot is stand.
    Red circles are doe bedding.
    Brown dash is walk in.
Black line is bucks path last year.
Green line is buck three years ago path. (Snort wheezed from where he made a 90)
Red line and blue line are both doe kills.
