I was planning on buying a lone wolf climber next week, but someone had mentioned the muddy stalker climbing stand to me. Its quiet a bit cheaper. But what I was wondering was if anyone has any experience with them. Are they as easy to pack and carry around as the lone wolf. That is my main concern being that I hike in to my spots on a mountain

Honest answer, the Muddy is basically a re-branded Big Game. The Lone Wolf is a much better climber. I'm not a climber user, but I have lots of Muddy products and a Lone Wolf hang-on setup. Lone Wolf is superior, hand's down.

Yep I have 5 Muddy Hang ons before they sold out and are now Big Game...Now they are crap IMO...I don't have particular experience with the climber you mentioned, but Muddy doesn't compare the Lone wolf is in a league of its own. Summit and lone wolf/XOP make the top climbers...If you want to save a little money buy an XOP.

I did a little looking the cheapest I found a XOP hand climber is like $170.. I have a lone wolf hand climber but got it on sale and it was still around twice that. Everything I have heard is they are more or less the same thing.

Summit climbers are really good. I would recommend them or Lone Wolf. I use a Summit climber and Lone Wolf for hang on.

^^ Agreed. I doubt you can find one near that $170 price-point, but you'd be selling yourself way short by not taking a look at Summit. My Viper was closer to $300 -but so worth every penny, that I personally feel no need to even look at the other brands.

I prefer the lone wolf to the muddy, but the price kills me. Look into Hawk hunting products. They make a pretty awesome climber for like $100 less than LW.
Nothing against LW, I use their hang ons.

You can get the XOP Strike Force on Jet.com and get 15% off your first order and free shipping. That makes it $170ish before taxes. I've been shopping around for a stand and I think that's the route i'm going to go.

Definitely LoneWolf. Not only is the quality superior to Muddy, they are made in the USA. Neither Muddy or XOP is. I know that is a controversial subject, but I buy American made when I can. That is more important to me than saving a few bucks. But that is me, you have to do what is best for you.
