Dems are fractured, in chaos, split, imploding and divided. A party in shambles

Thats exactly what I have been saying from the beginning. Im glad you have caught up. I cant look myself in the mirror after voting for either as I am certain both are terrible choices. Trump (his words that I witnessed) said he is a democrat and that hillary has done a good job. Today he is playing a pretend role and suckers are falling for it as if they dont have the ability to read or view all his prior words and deeds over the last few decades. He wrote a book after all. Read it to know him. Dont fall for the trump 2.0 he is pretending today (even that version sucks) Both are a known commodity. We know all there is to know about either. That has driven me to pass on both as they are terrible choices and not worthy of something so important as my vote. Not voting for her is a vote for trump (or so Ive heard)

She knew balloons would drop and still it surprised her. He was mocking a disabled person. Both are dumpster fires.

Yes, the next 8 years were torture, and I voted for Perot, because he was the best of the three.

Voting for the best is useless when it results in one of the worst ever.

Don't most religious people hold their religious laws above man's law? Khan is a Muslim. It would seem obvious to me that he would hold Sharia law, or some parts of it (as he obviously doesn't adhere to it strictly from his wife's appearance) above the Constitution

I don't understand why people have been running with that as some outrage.

Most countries that have a religious base have laws that closely align with the religious laws as well. This country was founded by Christians and therefore most of our laws have followed closely with the basics of Christianity. Believing that a country founded on Christian fundamentals should accept those fundamentals be changed to Muslim laws is not acceptable to the majority.

    Right.

But the paper in which they are quoting Khan, he never once talks about western law. In the entire paper, he is comparing Islamic Law.

    This quote

"all other juridical works" refers to other Islamic works. It is clear as day if you read the entire paper. He is not talking about the US constitution.

Although I'm sure he does believe his religious laws are above mans law, he does not state this within his paper.

Ok, and that's why we are where we are today.

Economically yes that is one reason we are where we are today.

3rd parties come up every 4 years, between nobody cares about them, that is why we are where we are today politically. NOBODY can become president under a 3rd party until that 3rd party has major footing politically in States and Congress. If you want a 3rd party, it starts at the bottom not at the top.

This makes the most sense out of anything I've seen on here about third party voting.

I don't think it really matters who is elected anymore. The bigger question is, how many more years does this country and form of government have left in it? We are so far from what we were founded on, it's almost hard to imagine how we are still going. Most non-empire governments collapse after a few hundred years. What's hard to fathom is what a collapse and recycle would mean considering our advanced state of civilization.

You have to remember something. Progressives want progress. They consider the change as progress from what we were founded on. So its no wonder we are moving away from what we are founded on.

I was talking to a liberal the other day about this. He said political parties are like driving a car. Select D to go forward and select R to go backwards. That is their mentality.

I agree with his statement but for the complete opposite reason. Our best days are behind us and going in reverse would put us closer to what our founding fathers put in place.
