Ive been shooting carbon express da torches for about a year and its great arrow but the price at $96 a half dozen really makes them a pain in the *** when i lose them so just curious about what people like and would suggest as good light arrow.
I shot Beman for years. Good arrow, not to bad on the bank account. Whats cheaper though is not loosing the arrows you have.
I've been shooting bass pro.house brand for 10 years and absolutely no complants. Still shooting some of those original arrows. Am guessing they cost today less than half what yours cost.
Just checked and the current version at basspro is called blackout envy and are on sale for 60 bucks a dozen with blazer vanes.
I used to shoot Carbon Express Aramid KV, expensive and supposed to be super strong, they broke in deer just like others. I since changed to Gold Tip XT hunter. Work great for me and easier on the wallet. Doesn't mater what you shoot if you bury it into the opposite shoulder chances are it's breaking.

I'm shooting the aftermaths out of a Mathews Helim at 57# and a long 28.5 draw lenght and shoots fine and dozen cost me $90 cut and inserted
The Beman white box arrows are a good arrow for the bargain hunter. So far this summer they have gotten me 3 top ten scores, including one first place, at 3D shoots. A few dollars more moves you up to the ICS Bowhunter which is also a good arrow for a good price. The nice thing about the Beman ICS line is that all the shafts are the same weight. You can buy a quiver full of Bowhunter arrows for practice and a few Precision Hunters for hunting and not have to change your sight pins.
If you have a shorter draw. You can buy the cheaper arrows and turn them in to a more quality arrow, straightness wise, by spinning them before you cut them to size. I have been shooting Easton Axis shafts for many years and Beman MFX before them. They have proven to be consistent, durable and accurate. Some I purchased new, but many came off the classifieds of Archery Talk and saved me a bunch of money...especially if I planned to use them as daily shooters. I keep the best for hunting because I want them in top shape for peak results.

If arrow shaft straightness can be improved simply by cutting them differently (cutting some of each end), why wouldn't the arrow manufacturer already do this? The price of .001 arrow shafts is usually double that of .006 shafts Makes me doubt how much actual improvement can be achieved.
Not sure what one considers lite weight. Basspro will save him $10 an arrow and only adds 30 grains to a 30 inch arrow. Seems worth considering.
Lite weight is relevant to how many pounds of draw weight the shooter is puling. Generally, a light weight arrow is 5 to 5.7 grains of finished arrow weight for every pound of draw weight.
