Which do you think is bigger?

I have two different properties that are 10 miles apart, so they aren't the same buck. I feel the Moultrie buck has a bigger spread... Both are hit list deer!

First one for sure. Both are shooters I'd say.

 

I'd say the first one is bigger but you'll need to double check after the trophy photos are taken.

 

Hard to say with one from the front and one from the back. Both very respectable deer.

 

I would agree that without a frontal view of the first buck it is hard too tell. And because of the near 15 day difference from the first picture to the 3rd there is a significant growth difference due to time. The bigger the antlers the more the grow per day. If this/these deer are in the same area it could be the same deer in all 3 pictures. The only thing throwing me off is the brow tines and how far apart they are.

 

Velvet also adds another 20% to the rack.

 

The Moultrie buck is definitely bigger. I don't think they are the same buck. They usually have a somewhat small home range in the summer. Which ever one you get a crack at I wish you the best of luck. Just hope they stick around for bow season and not relocate somewhere else. Happened to me last year, one week before season opener, very disappointed.

 

Dang... hope this doesn't happen to me. I'd be heartbroken!

 

Can't tell, both would be a shooter for me.

 

I guess another question I have, how do you keep them there? I have AG all around and unfortunately, these are smaller parcels with big woods near.

 

I watched a 140ish 10 all last summer then he moved to a neighboring farm I couldn't hunt. Just one of them things that happens. My guess is something really messed him up to make him move (poaching) because the deer have everything they need to hold them there year round. Can't control everything.

 

Corn, beans, alfalfa, and water and cover is what I have working for me. Just don't pressure the deer. I glass all summer from a distance. I stay out of the woods as much as I can. I know the situation your in, I used to hunt up around Delaware,OH. The main thing we did was keep our distance and make a move when everything was in our favor to hunt. If your hunting a place all to yourself, start a mineral station year round. If water is scarce, try making a small water hole close to where they bed.

The first one looks older...if both walked out I'm shooting that one...if not I'd probably arrow the other too.

 

Both dandies! I'd kill either given the chance w/ no second guessing!
