Has anyone had trouble with tenergy batteries? I bought some with hopes to use them for trail cameras, and was using them in the kids electronics first to test them. I bought 26, and at least 10 wouldn't take a charge after the first cycle. What could cause this? I emailed tenergy, and they would need me to send them back to test them. The amount it would take me to ship them, I can buy another set. Is this common with tenergy rechargeables? Is there a better brand out there?
I have hundreds of Tenergys and I haven't had the first problem with any of them. Have you noticed if the charger is working properly? I've got a multi-charger and sometimes the last two ports don't work right. I always have to double check any batteries that have been charged in those ports. Blessings........Pastorjim
Yep, I have an 8 bay smart charger from tenergy. It has the indicators for each bay. When I put these batteries in, they don't register, but if I put the batteries that work in there, they show on the screen right away. I've read a bit online that the smart charger from tenergy sometimes won't charge the battery if it's been discharged too much, but there is limited info about it that I can find. I'll see if I can attach a picture to show it. These show with good and bad batteries in it.
No, you do not have to do this with NiMH batteries. This was true with the NiCd batteries. They maintained a "memory" and if you did not discharge them they would wear out faster. Assuming your Tenergys are NiMH this shouldn't be a problem. Blessings.......Pastorjim
i have some rechargeable i have found if they a dained to low the will not charge or show up on the charger i use a 9 volt batter to put a little charge in the battery put wires on both ends and count to 3 or 5 thats enough for the charge to start working i google it and went from there good luck
That's great info. I have a dozen or so that I thought has went bad. I'll have to give that trick a try. Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
I just gave that trick a try. I didn't have a 9 volt but I had a 6 volt lying around. 13 batteries that were useless before and now all 13 are charging. Thanks for the tip!!!! Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
