i have a small 10th acre plot i was gonna put turnips in about august 1st. been keeping it weed free since spring.
i also feed birds and under the feeders it super thick/lush and the deer are there every night eating the growth.
i had about 20lbs of bird seed so i spread it thick on about 1/2 the plot and dragged it in. will see how it goes.

Sunflower heavy mix? If so, doesn't surprise me. They'll devour any seed nearly, but we've already planted sunflowers in plots and our deer typically won't let them get above 6 inches honestly.
