Back when I was in high school, I got a job as a cabinet maker and I always enjoyed working with wood. Then life takes over and I got out of wood working and took over the family business. About a year and a half ago I bought a bunch of wood working equipment again so I could build new kitchen cabinets, I did the kitchen then the bathroom which lead to the laundry room. I really got back into it and I was showing someone some of the pictures of what I have done and they wanted a rustic looking island with some antlers worked in some how. This is what I came up with, what do you think? I did putty the screw holes on the antlers and then colored them.

Looks good. I love woodworking and really need to get a house with a garage big enough to be able to spend time on it. Nothing like doing it yourself! I plan on building myself a bed frame with headboard and storage underneath.

That looks sweet! I think it would be cool if you found some really small sheds and put those as the drawer handles. I seen one like it before and it looked really sharp.

I agree it looks cool. Saw off some antler tips for drawer pulls.

I was going to do something like that then decided against it because I couldn't get the look I wanted. I tried a couple different things and it just didn't work for me.

Island looks great but in my opinion, it seems like the antlers are there just to say they are on there.

The one on the side is a towel bar and the other 2 are supposed to be shelf standards. I do get what you are saying I wish I could be more creative when coming up with this stuff.

Looks great but needs more antler. With that said I don't have much for suggestions, I'm not that creative either.
