MN Opener was a bust for me as well. Did not hear a gobble and saw one hen myself. Did see a half rack buck still holding, and 6 does to keep me occupied. Property does not seem to be holding turkeys like normal.

    On to plan next...

    Good luck folks!

Ugh. Not a gobble again this morning. This is just weird. I am heading to a different property tomorrow. Hope it picks up for you pumper.

Gonna go out again and try and get it done again this weekend. Seems like birds are acting different this year for everyone. I'll blame global warming and the economy. Can't kill em' from the couch. Well at my dads I kinda can, at least in the driveway! Good luck to everyone hunting! Keep at it!

Had a crazy hunt this morning. It really seems like it's starting to pick up as I heard a lot of talking this morning, even after they flew down. 2 toms and a group of hens came to the edge of the food plot but all I could see was two fans going back and forth threw the trees. I have a feeling that tomorrow will be the day! Goodluck everyone.

Good luck Trevor. Hopefully we'll both have good luck. Seems like I could certainly use some!

    Great job guys!
I went out this morning but no luck. I had some birds in front of me but too many eyes to get pulled back on them. Quite a different challenge from deer hunting for sure.

3 birds on the board. I love it.

Well I am headed back home tomorrow from my first snaggin trip in MO. Had a lot of fun and can't wait to come back next year.

I hear ya! I had those toms at about 9 yards but couldn't get a shot until they were at about 20.

Great birds guys! Season still hasn't opened here in PA.. Sill have 2 weeks and the birds are going crazy as usual. Hope it's not like the last few years where the birds are pretty much done before the season even kicks in.

Covey will vouch for me though. When I become a part of a team I take it to the next level. Can't come soon enough.

Season opened today here in MD. I wasn't able to go this morning but I'm headed out on Wednesday. Unfortunately we can only hunt until noon but hopefully that's all I need. I'll keep y'all posted. Congrats to everyone else on their birds so far!

Way to go team! Hoping to get on the board sooner than later! went out Sunday for a little while and heard a lot of gobbling, just not where they promised to be. So, goose egged again. Hopefully going to get out again soon.
    Great birds guys!

    Bigtine,

On your video (awesome by the way) at 3:37 it looks like a shed on the ground... It probably wasn't, but it caught my eye.

    Nice turkey!

Well guys, I wish I had better news, went out Sunday morning and brought my sister on her first turkey hunt. We had a bird working in from behind us but a deer came in, didn't like the blind or decoys then blew and ran off. After the deer left I could not get that bird to respond anymore so I quit calling and was basically sitting there thinking of a game plan for the afternoon set up. All of a sudden I see a tom and 4 hens coming right through the tall grass, where I least expected to see them! He came in and beat on my Jake decoy and I drew back when he was strutting with his back to me. Let the arrow fly and just missed him! Not sure what happened as I felt extremely confident when I let the arrows fly. Hopefully I will get another chance. I self filmed it and got some awesome footage too so I'll post that tonight! Congrats on the birds guys!!
