I have had pretty good luck with moultrie. They are definitely not reconyx as the night pictures are not as good but they do a pretty good job. They were easy to set up as well. If you find them on sale the top end moultries are about $140
I have had good luck w/ Cabelas version. Take great video batteries last, they can be locked on the tree w/ a Python lock. Only downside is the door can't be locked to get to the card. Never had anything stolen, but I did see they just came out w/ a box to help this problem. On sale 12mp, $99 + Python, $20. Hasn't been a bad investment. I have one that has been in the field for 3 yrs straight. 5 out now w/ no problems.
Just picked up a browning for like $100. So far so good. For the money they seem to have a lot of quality. I have used Coverts and also might be able to pick up some refurbished Moultrie 880 for a decent price on eBay. Have tried a few of those and most work pretty decent. Good luck.
I don't buy anything but covert now....quality pics and almost bulletproof cameras...my oldest one in the woods currently is an mp6 and has been there for I wanna say 4 years straight...still going strong and cheap junk batteries last forever in it...I think I paid 100 bucks for it....unreal cameras Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
Another vote for Covert. MP6 is a great camera for the money. Battery life is phenomenal. Also takes very good pics!
I won't buy anything other than Covert...MP6 is great but Red 40 is...wow. Day & night. Really can't go wrong with their cams.
Another voter for Covert. I have 12 out in the field and no problems. Other than the one that was struck by lightning. And I can't blame that on Covert.
The 2015 Browning Strike Force HD is one of the best commercial cams I have ever owned, and I have owned many. I believe you can find them for around $99 bucks right now. Blessings..........Pastorjim
