Opinions about this bow? PICS

So my dad ordered another Hoyt off of eBay because he was dying to have an 80 pounder. With shipping, the total was $400. According to the seller, he won it at an auction and the draw weight is too much for him. It looks like its barely even been shot and the strings are in great condition. It's a 2012 Hoyt Carbon Matrix. We know nothing about this bow.

Was this a good deal? And whats up with the brushes for deceleration? I've never seen brushes before.

 

If he can handle 80#, that sounds like a very good deal to me.

The blood sport string stop work good I put them on my mathews to get rid of the stock stop they are more quiet then a string slaping a standard stop the brushes gradually slow it down with no noise I like them alot I've been using them for years now .

400 for a carbon bow even if its 4 years old is not a bad price. Especially if it still looks good. Like BuckEyeJay said the brushes are just Bloodsports version of the string stopper. Idea makes sense but never really send one in use. Hope your Dad enjoys the new toy.
