Still need to add my optics, but here's my new addition. 300 AAC BLK built from scratch for my first ever AR build. It went together great. It was fun and educational to build one from scratch. Don't really think I saved any money because I generally bought fairly high end parts to build it. Just thought I would share.

    Sweet Build!

If you get bored you can also build a 7.62x39 upper(Fun to shoot and lots of cheap crap ammo) and then branch into all the other fun options.

I'm a barrel short of a 6.5 Grendel build right now which is build #6:)

You've been saying this for years, if Hillary gets into office you won't be able to build one once she bans them:)

I've been wanting to build a 300 blackout SBR for awhile now just seems an all around fun gun to shoot

Nice, never have shot that exact trigger. Sweet set up and I like the components.

Nice looking rig. You will enjoy it. I went the SBR route with a suppressor and shoot mostly subsonic and I have really had a great time with it. I reload and it is an endless testing process on powder, bullets and loads that you can get into and I haven't even touched supers yet. Very versitle cartridge, congrats and looks like you did a great job putting it all together.

It's pretty nice. Took about 2 minutes to install. Has rubber bumpers on the bottom to help keep it seated instead of the set screws like the Timney triggers. Just push it into place, push it down with a little down force and slide the pins in. It a very crisp single stage trigger with absolutely no creep and a short reset. My groups are 10 times better with this trigger vs. my Mil-Spec trigger on my DPMS Bull 20.

I think I will eventually get into reloading, just not ready for that initial investment. I also plan on ordering an suppressor for it at some point. I know 16" on a .300 BLk isn't necessarily needed, but I didn't want to make it a pistol and didn't want to buy that damn tax stamp for an SBR.

I hear you on the tax stamp and it isn't just the $200 it's the time and aggravation to get them. Individual with fingerprints and CLEO signoff is absurd for SBR and Suppressors not to mention the 4 - 6 month wait. I went the trust route but even that is changing now, oh' well.
