Hey have any of you ever gone to the get together that happens every year? I never have but have debated on it since I live in Illinois

 

I have gone the last 3 years. 2013-2015. (See Signature) What? You live in Illinois and you haven't gone? Shame on you! Just Kidding! I drove 14 hours one way the first year (picked Matt up in OH) and I was hooked. I fly to Chicago now and drive over. It is an awesome event!!

 

Sam I may just have to get it on the calendar and make a weekend of it. How many days do you typically come up for?

Normally Thursday thru Sunday. Latest I arrive is on Friday. We camp at the Paradise Camp Resort in Garden Prairie, IL and we have a blast there!

 

Fun fun. I will have to see if I can find a buddy to make the trek and go this year

 

How long of a drive would it be for you?

 

I just google mapped it and it is a whooping two hours away lol. Kinda bad that I have not attended before now.

 

I been there one time it's a pretty good time...I wish they would improve on the 3d course it's not the greatest ...but they put on a good feed and there's a ton of prizes they give away and also its a good chance to meet people

I'm two and half hours away. Always falls on something else going on.

 

Well I have continued to go out looking for sheds with no dice. I kicked up a large amount of deer the last time I was out and none of them had head gear but that's not to say they aren't does.

 

I'm heading out for a long walk this weekend to see what I can find for sheds.

 

Definitely the right weather to walk for sheds. I think I might have to do the same

 

I went on a long walk after lunch and no dice but it was a beautiful afternoon to be out!

 

I am thankful it is the weekend! This was a long week at work and I am pumped it is supposed to be nice today!
