    Lol, use an atv.
Here's a pic of the deadhead I found yesterday and the two sheds were a matched set from the buck in the pic.

I love walking! Plus it's public so can't use atv even if I wanted to.

Well then stop complaining about walking three miles, lol. You know rules were made to be broken right. Haha

This is the last weekend of our deer season. I don't "need" to shoot another doe, but I won't pass up the opportunity to sit in a stand for a couple hours.

Went out yesterday for a little bit to do some shed hunting. Found one little shed and saw 5 bucks still carrying. One of the bucks however had lost one side and looked like a really nice buck. Don't know exactly what buck it was cause it was pretty dark. Was nice to just get out and walk around.

I have a bunch of small half racks on cams. I have not found any of them yet but still in yote mode trying to kill off as many of those fawn munchers as I can.

I find most of my sheds after the snow is gone usually turkey hunting, getting stands ready or working the food plots.

Two yotes taken out in the last two weeks out of a pack of about 5 that have been running around. Big male 35-40lbs that is getting mounted, huge paws and neck on that thing then a avg female. Looks like the pack broke up and moved out after that.

No shed hunting yet until the snow is gone for me.

So, my taxidermist quoted me "May" for my buck. Is it worth a call to check in or should I just let him go?

I see nothing wrong with a call.

I did my own taxidermy for the first time this year, turned out decent for never doing it before and trained on you tube. Learned a lot, much I'll do different next time.

Purebowhunting, that's nicer than a lot of "professional" mounts I've seen. :tu:

Thanks guys, there is a lot I'll do different next time but very happy with how it turned out. I've also seen expensive mounts done worse, maybe I had more time to work it during drying. I think doing an early season mount for my first was risky, but I took my time and it came together. The biggest change for my next will be the ears, I used plastic ear butts and they're locked on prior to the hide being put on so you can't manipulate the placement after the mount starts to look like a deer. Really look forward to my next!

Apparently, my buck has been done since April 25th, but he emailed the wrong person to say it was done. I can't make it there until Saturday, so this week wait is going to kill me!
