Let me preface this by saying that I'm not trying to be a dbag by asking this question. But we were getting updates about every week and then it's been like three months since we've had any updates. I understand that people are busy but I looked forward every week to seeing who the top teams were, encouraging our team to keep hunting, etc... I think the lack of updates really hurt the level of interest on our team thread this year too. Does anyone know what happened?

I missed doing the late November update, but I've never updated the scorecard in the late season as it changes little and the winners would be most often obvious 2 months out.

Thanks for the response Fitz. Last year was my first year doing it and I must have stopped keeping track of the scores because I wasn't a captain. This year I was paying more attention and noticed that the scores hadn't been updated. Thanks for the clarification

If there is someway to increase the updates I would be happy to assist next year with updating information. I do quite a few analytical projects at work and am quite handy with excel.

You can you look at the scorecard like everyone else and add it up. Then Fitz can confirm later.

Looks like over 50 deer killed since the last update in a pretty close contest. The rut in the south had not even started yet. Has anyone taken the time to figure it up? I looked through it and got some rough idea, but there are several entries that were missing some information and at this point, the chances of them getting notice and correcting them are likely slim.

Looks like team 16 held on for the win but only due to killing another nice buck and a doe. It looks to me like team 20 actually took the lead for a while. If all deer were allowed, it looks to me like 20 got second and 15 got third.??? Just my quick math and allowing all deer as far as I can tell.

BJE80, Thank you for that insightful idea, I had no clue that was an option. But since you gave me the idea, I decided I would sit down and calculate the scores.

Makes sense to update the scores more frequently to not only keep teams updated, but to not be in a mad dash to add more in at the last moment. Of course less likely to make a mathematical error, LOL. Sorry had to say that.

I agree. I submitted a last minute deer kill 2 days ago and it hasn't been entered yet. Today is the deadline, right?

This will probably not change, but people missing information that is needed would help keep things updated also. Captains or team members should make sure new people include everything. I know I've forgot to put something in the past.

I wouldn't want to update all the time if people kept missing information that was asked for. The missing information isn't done intentionally, but would get old at the end of the season.
