Got all the essentials. Deer corn, beer, ingredients for jerky and then more beer. I can't wait.

I may take a look at deer tracks on Monday and hunt Tuesday or Wednesday.

Stayed in but watched my stand from the house(60 yards from back door) nothing till after dark. But after that the yard was full of young bucks/does. With the snow and full moon they were easy to see.

Ruger that looks like it's close enough to shoot out the window! The other day I was watching TV and I look out the window and there is a fawn looking at me about 10 feet away!

I'm just about out of deer, so I might try and shoot a deer out of the back yard this week. I think this snow will help.

Ah! Don't remind me about taxes! I do like the drinking part though. Might be time to get a beer!

What's up MD guys! Any of you guys been getting out running camera's or scouting?

I decided to jump in and lease a farm this year, I need to get out and put some minerals out quick to see what's out there. The area is known area for big bucks, my buddy shoots great buck ever year there. Started to get excited, hope this new farm pays off!

Hey Holt good to hear from you! I've got 2 cams out right now. There's two nice bucks on the property right now. Nocturnal but don't think they travel too far but no I don't put out any minerals. Our baby is due August 15th so I'll be a touch limited on my hunting time this fall.

Haven't stepped foot in the woods yet this summer, been too busy. Have shot a few times though, no issues there. Honestly I think I'm more excited to chase Sika this year than I am whitetails.

Good to hear from you guys!

Tony congrats on the up coming kid, they are great. But they do require a lot of time. Lucky for me the first year my daughter was born my wife took a long maturity leave, so I got to do a lot of hunting that winter.

Hey Ruger, hope all is good with the business! Have you had a chance to scout for the sikas this year, are you still trying to go on public land?

Thanks, things are going pretty well. Been real busy since about March. Looking like we're starting a big job in Butler sometime in August so the beginning of the season may be a bust for me. I'll still put some time in on weekends but if I can work a lot early in the season I'll be better off this winter.

As far as Sika goes, I'll probably do a few public land trips but I also got a spot with Muddy Marsh in October from their waiting list. I guess someone cancelled and me and Mike were able to snatch up a three day trip. Towards the end of the month so it won't be much rutting action but it's better than nothing.

Nice deal! I will hopefully be heading out next week to hang cameras. I did attempt to do some fishing / scouting in mid July but the humidity and thick cover changed my mind. I didn't bring a machete and trying to climb through thorns and low brush in 80's temps with 80% humidity with fishing rods and tackle was not my idea of enjoyable. Next week i'll be prepared and hopefully the weather will cooperate better.

Hey everyone. I haven't stepped foot in the woods yet either but I actually am getting excited for this upcoming season. Even though I lost a good spot, I still have my eastern shore farm. My son is now 19 months so things are much easier and I'll have time to get out this fall.

Good to see you guys back! Looking good so far for bucks sightings this year. One camera I have out had 10-12 different bucks on it this pull. There are definitely a couple nice ones! Good luck out there guys, look like it's going to be a good year!
