This was a terrible year here in Maine for birds. It's been so warm the damn sea ducks haven't really even pushed down yet. I'll be out friday and most days next week chasing what few eiders are around here..
Really slow Thursday and Friday....Sunday and today picked up, more birds worked. Some OK mixed bags.
Man we've got ducks galore new ducks coming in daily....but they are the stalest new ducks I've ever seen. They are mostly just sitting and the few that do fly won't play at all. Very frustrating
What a horrible year again for me in south west IL. I hunt the carlyle area and there were a few good days but nothing like it should be. By the time the ducks and geese get here season is over. We fight for the scraps of the northern states. So jealous.

Yea the best hunt was first shotgun season. A private club we hunt on Thanksgiving day in Baldwin tore them up (mallards). We hunted the next weekend and killed 3 crap ducks. I didn't kill one limit all year. Granted I was in a tree stand most the time. Where abouts are you from?
I'm surprised you had a bad year in MN. I skipped out on a hunt in Rochester in Nov and that was a big mistake. The two guys I was supposed to go with had 3 days of Barn Burner hunts.
