Range finders..?

Anyone know of any good inexpensive range finders in need of one and wanted to know yalls thoughts..?

 

I got the xrt rangefinder. Doesn't have the arc technology but it hasn't failed me yet in the tree

 

Nikon ProStaff 7i.

Since you've had it have you noticed it being off on yardage and does it seem to be pretty quality built?

 

I have the 7i and it is right on.

 

I never have noticed it being off on the reading. I will be using the hell out of it this year

I got the Halo XRT 6 for around $90 at Rural King. No issues yet. I don't see the need to get one that ranges 1000 yards. Not necessary for most people.

 

I have a Bushnell Sport 550.Got it on sale for $120.After 6 months I have yet too find a problem with it.I like how it uses a 9 volt battery rather than a watch battery like some rangefinders use.

 

I don't use a range finder. I'm able to guess +/-2 yards within 30 yards and I can't shoot past 30 yards where I hunt so I can use my first pin and I should be able to hit my mark no problem.

 

Well I'm planning on shooting 3D so I'm gonna use it as a tool to learn yardage while I'm shooting at my target at home.

I ended up going with the halo xrt6 for right now. Anyone else use this range finder?

 

Ditto. I picked up this one at ****'s for under $200 and I love it.

I just picked up a Bushnell yardage Pro from a friend of a friend for $60. SCORE!!!

 

Nikon aculon, works great and only at 140$

 

Dumb question (I'm full of them just so you know) Are any of these binoculars and range finder combined?

 

I just bid on a Halo X-ray 600 on eBay. I'll let you guys know how it comes out.

I read an article once telling that if you sighted in using your rangefinder readings, it didn't matter if it was off. As long as it gives consistant readings, your sight would be set to it. Granted, we'd all prefer that the readings are dead on.

 

Read the same article. As long as your site is calibrated to your range finder your good to go.

Nikon range finders are rated pretty high and not too pricey.
