It's hard to explain. My job is to basically promote BHOD & Bowhunting.com. Do booths at deer expos, push them on social media, things like that. Talk to people, give out promotional items.
I'm still at it ! Seen some nice deer but nothing in range ! Still got few weeks so will see ! Getting hard to stay at it after so many hours in the stand but I'm not goin stop till it's over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Totally agree... Someone needs to hand off the duties of keeping score. I think this same thing happened last year. Makes the contest very anticlimactic.
Just imagine watching a basketball game when they don't update the score till the end of the fourth quarter. I'm sure there's a bunch of guys on here that would enjoy taking on the duties. Hopefully they figure it out or this might be my first and last year participating in the contest.
I believe the reason it is not being updated is due to not as many deer coming in. I think they are also trying to build up the anticipation, so it will be a surprise when the winner is announced. If they updated constantly then you would be able to see who is going to win. Anyone could go add up the deer that have been submitted and find out the score, if they wanted too, but who wants to do that? Lol
Not buying that at all. I think Fitz just got busy. But, its too bad that he didn't ask for some help. There have been over 50 deer killed since the contest was last updated. As far as I can tell, there were also lead changes and a really tight race for second and third. It pretty much killed the contest for all of us. When the contest is updated, it drives visits to the site. That has to equal money. There is a lot more anticipation and rivalry when a close contest is kept alive. This one fell dead. To be fair, I did offer to help in the future. I don't want this to be taken as a knock on Fitz at all, we all get busy. But, this contest and frequent updates adds a lot of fun to this site.
Well we came in 13th, if I counted right. That's not to bad considering how many teams were in the contest. Sorry I didn't contribute this year guys, I had the worst season I've ever had. Maybe some of us will be on the same team next year! Until then.. BHOD
I agree, I really enjoy the contest. Fitz does a great job. Everybody did a great job and shot some nice deer this season! I had a great season unfortunately for y'all my big buck this season fell to a shotgun. Only had one chance at a doe this season and got busted by her but I am super thankful to have been able to shoot a great little 9 point to contribute.
