Well crap, just seen the buck that came by last night. Still didn't get close enough for shot and took same path as last night. May need to move a stand, know where he goes once he goes by me

Thats pretty much the path that buck as been taking past couple days, at least last night and this morning. I'm not sure if I should wait it out where I'm at and hope he comes a little farther down the feild or make a move and try to cut him off somewhere. Could just wait till the weekend and try with shotgun but a bow kill would be alot sweeter ha. Decisions decisions

My stand now is the left marker right above the yards

I'd make a move on him this afternoon.

Congradulations Dad . What a beautiful Iowa whitetail . My Dad inspires me in a so many ways when it comes to hunting . He was in a horrible car accident and god almost took him from me . As you see he did have his left arm amputated after the accident and was in a medical coma for weeks .. thinking he would never hunt , fish or trap again he almost gave up on the sport .. until i was old enough for my first hunt . He bought himself a crossbow and took me hunting for the first time . I've been in love with this great sport ever since that day .. I was his ambition to keep doing what he loves .. to teach me the art of bowhunting . I love you Dad . Congrates . Nice buck ! If you or a loved one is disabled or an amputee , get them a crossbow and put them in a stand . Never have no in your heart !

Where too is my only thing. About halfway through his path there a little pond he's went around and that would be the spot I kinda think would produce a shot. Goes out of the feild I'm on and into a little low area where he crosses a fence and then heads to creek. Only other options would be to set up on a open feild where he could go about anywhere.

I may have just answered my own question haha.

Yea it'd be the third marker from the left. Pretty sure he beds down in a big block of timber further to left of pic, but that's the neighbors ha

That first Monday morning back at work....

When you realize those ruined hunts weren't as bad as you thought.

Good luck, rain won't really stop until Wednesday at some point.

Lot of rain over the next 3 days. In that 3-5" range with locally higher amounts possible

Yea idk what it's gonna do, look at one place and might let up a little this afternoon but most are saying what you did, just kinda wait and see at this point, hasn't been too bad here yet.

I'm thinking if it doesn't rain harder or more than it has this morning, I'm gonna run out and try a little public land ground pound after work:.::
