I would have passed out. I have no problem with blood... Unless it's my own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Damn I missed a lot at the end. Congrats to your son Ruger and hope you heal up quick. Also congrats on the stalk that had to be cool. I finally saw a deer after over 9 hours, a nice buck went across the corn field a few hundred yards away. What a long day and drive home.
Hunt! I killed my buck Wednesday afternoon in that 30 mph sustained wind. 3:40 pm and the deer were up and moving a lot.
It's starting too. We heard the people in the next room talking about the amount of blood in the bucket and on the floor while he was cleaning it, lol. Must've been bad. 25 stitches in a finger seems like a lot.
We checked camera cards tonight. It seems that I've been at work when I should've been in the stand. Had a 140" 10 ptr come by at about 7:30 one morning chasing doe. One night when I was in the stand I could here something getting out of the creek and could see the wake in the water. It was about 10 mins from dark. It was extremely calm and quiet. I could even hear the water shaking off and falling in the leaves. I looked and looked with the binoculars but couldn't see anything at all. It was looking back in to an area that was pretty dark. Sure enough, when we checked the cards tonight, there he was. A big heavy 10 ptr. Different than the 140" one seen on the camera during the day. IF I would've grunted or done something maybe the evening would've ended different. The good thing is that I wasn't hearing things. The pic's proved that there was something really getting out of the creek.
That is a LOT of stitches! At least it doesn't sound like there is any major internal damage. Glad it wasn't any worse.
Did you lose any veins or arteries? I had my wedding ring deglove my finger (happened by catching ring on a pin of my tree stand ladder). I lost the vein and a half my nerves in the finger. The pain was unbelievable. I got pics if you want to see them
