Holy fricken crap, just had a big buck come out was at 80 yards and wouldn't get closer with the tractor goin. Was one of my hit list bucks too. (Hate that term) Tried getting him to turn this way but no go. This is the buck pretty sure.

Rifle season comes and goes and I'm eating tag soup for the 2nd year in a row after passing countless does and small bucks.

Back at it with the bow next weekend!

That was my sons first buck by the way not my deer. I'm at the hospital now for making a stupid careless mistake while skinning.

I think there's plenty of action to be had Brett, get out there!
Our gun season starts Friday, now I gotta figure out how I'm gonna play hooky a day or 2 or 3.

I poked myself with my knife gutting my deer this year. Luckily a bandaid fixed it. How bad is the cut? Cutting yourself sure spoils a good time quickly. Hope it heals quickly.

WHAT A RUSH...so I get to the land for my last bowhunt of the season at 230....start walking up to the field that my blind is on and see 2 does feeding about 5 yards in front of my blind 150 yards away....I watched for a few minutes and one bedded down....a few minutes later the other one bedded down right by her.....after a few minutes of contemplating the situation I said screw it...I'm going for broke and if they bust me I should still have time to sit and see what happens....crawled on all fours very very slowly and as low as possible trying to not get caught for 2 hours and worked within 25 yards of them....I waited a few minutes there in a ready to draw position on my knees until she stood up....when she did I set my pin and let it fly....she mule kicked a little and the blood started flowing like a faucet....watched her go into the woods and backed out until my father in law got there....she was 30 yards inside the woods when we went after her....got the bottom of the lungs....unbelievable last day and the first time I stalked down a deer with the bow and got the shot off without getting busted....awesome awesome night
