    After three years of passing up small bucks looking for another wall hanger I killed this little fella today. For those of you who are getting discouraged with the rut I have only this to say.

    I believe most of the does are bred now (at least here in northern Illinois) if you can get lucky and catch a late breeder coming out to feed before dark she WILL be with the buck we all dream about.     You may have something there.... My big buck spot (I call it that because they are there, not that I've killed a big buck :( ) is a almost a mile walk....I could buy one off Craigslist and take it back there

    im in. nothing like hiking 2.5 miles to find the weathman is wrong on the wind AGAIN! well im here anyways. i think we are in a lock down period. seen does without bucks which i think are already bred and small bucks by themselves. just cant figure it out this year. i have improved some stand locations this year. as long as i keep learning and moving forward someday it will all come together. i did touch a mature doe on the way in with an arrow. my led headlamp put her in a transe and she walked right up to me and i touched her with my arrow. boy did she tutn inside out!

    I am up and rocking. Wind is still brutal. I sat almost 6 hours total yesterday, no sightings on stand. Hope it is better today?
