Youth gun season this weekend. I'll have both my boys in the woods with me this weekend should be fun and interesting.
I have tonight's hunt and tomorrow left on my kansas trip. Wind is brutal so I am hunting off the ground in between a couple of bushes.
I didn't have to work in the rain! But about 8 miles away from the warehouse got pounded with rain. Couldn't see more then 50 feet in front of me. Tornadoes touched down I guess within 60 miles from my town. Not sure if it's true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A lot of wind reports close to Oskaloosa but the 3 confirmed tornado reports as if now have been just west and to the SW of Des Moines. That could change as there was a strong tornado signature on radar to the south of Oskaloosa for a while.
The wind is really howling here!!! It never rained a drop.......Maybe they blew right by here. I haven't seen it clear and the wind blowing this hard in years!!!
It's only going to pick up later tonight. I don't think I'm going to go out in the morning. Was actually considering it for awhile. 45mph gusts just a bit too much
Told myself I'm embracing the moment and enjoying the opportunities for meat. Pretty good sized doe down.
Definitely slow around here. I had one little spike come out and make a scrape about 15 yards behind me. Walked right up to my tree, probably caught my scent a little then turned and walked off to my 9 o'clock. Only deer of the night.
seen 6pt at last light. forced to go to a new stand tomorrow. might be my best set yet. got the wind everyone's been talking about coming tomorrow and Friday. stinks cuz our season ends Saturday.
After the Holiday today I have to be back at work tomorrow. My try to slip out for an evening hunt tomorrow and definitely Friday evening. Hopefully the wind drops below 30 for the evening hunt.

Got her hanging up....will take them tomorrow. Some of the guys from work want some meat so I am taking it to the butcher..gonna split the costs. I drug that thing nearly a mile. Man I am telling you I actually felt 40 when I was done.
