While it was great to be in the stand, I can't believe I only saw 1 spike and my Buddy saw nothing.
At least I got out. Best of luck y'all.

Fun morning in the stand with my brother and nephew....bro and I saw 4, 2 nice doe and 2 fawn...if the doe would have followed her fawn, she would have died

Nephew saw this guy and grunted him in bit no shot....

He also saw doe with fawns

I'm sure this is a bad idea and a waste of gas, but I'm headed to my lease

After watching Rocky for over 4 hours the doe got up and moved north. He never gave me a shot and I am hoping they went to the pond and stay close the rest of the afternoon. It is gun season here and even though I am confident in my slug gun at that distance I did not like the hole I had to shoot through at that distance.

Nestled in after eating Angus rib eye and homemade apple pie.

Nestled into a chair watching football with my Dad, brother, and nephew.....

For the next 5 hours, this beats bow hunting...Dad is doing awesome! He has a skip in his step and I have not seen him look this good in a long time :)

I'll write it up on our team thread.

Right now I'm about 18 minutes from football and more importantly beer. Story only a person accused of being drunk could tell.

It's so off the wall.....can't help but laugh. Or cry, I don't know. I'm tired.

Bqck at it in the morning for a 3 hour sit, need to help uncle pour concrete at 9:30. Tuesday likely last hunt until at least the weekend.

Screw that, it's a decent buck or nothing. I got work in the am, not dragging my butt around chasing a doe tonight....

Positive went out the window last week, but I'm here. I get this little twinge of hope every time I come out at least, I guess if I didn't, I probably wouldn't do it....
