According to trail camera pictures my mock scrape has "visits" and they smell around but I haven't caught any of them actually using it yet, so I'm reserved on saying one way or another. It could just be that my camera is missing them using it but I still think we are a week or two out from seeing anything pick up. All the mock scrape visits are during the night and I haven't seen any rubs yet. The bucks have separated though, so it's coming soon.

Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, means there will be a lot of people in the woods pushing deer especially in the morning. Debating whether to hunt public land for this reason or hit private property for the first time this year.

I missed hujting it last year, not going to happen again.

I'm in west central MN and I'm just starting to see a few rubs. No scrapes yet of any kind. The excitement is still a couple weeks away .

Scrapes and rubs are pre-rut activity.

I sometimes see scrapes as early as September.
