I think everyone knew the premiere was going to be huge. I'll be curious to see if the numbers hold, seems to be a lot of mixed review. Usually Sunday and Monday my facebook feed will have all kinds of chatter about TWD, oftentimes have to avoid it if I can't catch the episode until a few days later. Woth FTWD, I haven't seen anyone talking about it, other than someone shared a meme that had Nick and captioned, "If they kill Johnny Depp, We Riot." Figured there would be a lot more buzz as everyone was anxiously awaiting it. Found it a bit odd not to bw the case.
I enjoyed watching it too. I really liked the way they started it out because you really didn't know if it had already been going on for a while with the church and the covered windows and all. As it progressed it was interesting to see the fear growing as people's children wouldn't be showing up for school and all. The junkie look was fitting to me, how many times have ya seen a fat junkie?!?! LOL
I have watched the first episode twice now. Once with my wife and last night with my son. I am a fan. The first thing my son noticed was the eye color change for the zombies. lol I can see a lot of possibilities for this show. Most of them good.
Still riding the 50/50 line on it. Guessing this one will take the second season to decide, should things stay the same. Wonder if they are filming already or awaiting feedback to start.
Good show gotta build the story a bit before it gets real good. The wd has slow episodes where it builds for the next one.
Am I the only one having a hard time getting into it? I can't wait until October when the "real" Walking Dead is back!
Been a little slow, but I think after this last episode it is setup for what could be very good last two episodes of the season. If those don't knock it out of the park though, I'm probably done.
I agree with the hard time. I think the hard part is these people seem so stupid when it comes to things but at the same time we know what this stuff is going to turn into. Who else was happy when they took Nick away, hoping it's for good?!?! The junkie part is what really is annoying to me.
I'm still in, I like the direction they are going. this season, like S1 of TWD, is the setup for the future. 6 episodes, get it going, then let all hell break loose. things gonna get crazy when they start trying to get out of the city.... remember that scene of Rick riding his horse into ATL?? all the cars on the outbound side abandoned, there is serious potential here
I lasted about 2-3 episodes. It was okay but I missed a Sunday, causing a chain reaction of not caring about it. I'll wait until the marathon comes on. TWD is coming back soon!!
It all depends on the season finale. I think it is setup pretty well. Little torture, little bribery, command structure of the military falling apart. If it ends well, I may keep watching, if not, there is always something else.
I started to get that 'Walking Dead' feeling during this past show. I think for some of us it would be natural to easily go into killing and survival mode. The fact that a few of the main characters don't want to hurt a fly seems foreign to us and maybe that's where we are struggling?? Just my thoughts.
