Sorry I just got back from Wyoming. I checked my camera & plots yesterday. My main plot is being absolutely destroyed right now! I have pics of up to 7 deer in view of the camera at once during the daylight...including a few shooters. Opening night the wind is right to hunt the plot..my wife will be sitting there...ill be on an oak ridge 400yds away.

It's great to see so many deer using the plot at all hours of the day...I just hope they don't eat it down to the dirt before the rut

I will be hunting the pit tonight. My wife will be sitting on my big main food plot. Survivor has been somewhat regular in the plot in the evenings...so maybe she can get some redemption. I will be hunting the stand I call the ridge funnel, a new set for this year...

Wind is from the NNE tonight. My wife's approach to the "food plot stand" will be down the lane that runs from the plot to the gravel area. Mostof the deer bed in the NE section of the property.my access to the "ridge funnel" will be from directly N of the stand...sounds backwards but there is a huge dropoff there& no deer will come from that way. My wind will be blowing along a selective hinge cut I did to restrict deer movement...the openings i left are upwind of the stand. It will be windy today too, & this stand overlooks a little bowl in the timber where deer could get outof the wind.

Saw one yearling buck& 6 turkeys...My wife had 6 bucks in the plot at once& saw a pretty good fight. The one she wanted never came close enough. My hunch that deer would use the bowl down below my stand to get out of the wind was right. The little buck I saw stayed there the whole night. Great high pressure evening in the woods!
