I'm going out today to check a few game cameras, find some deer sign, and find a few white oaks. Will also hang my last set. Opener is in 18 days here in Alabama. Awesome to see Todd on here again!
Hello, everyone! Started following this thread last year and decided to join in. I bowhunt about 3-5 times per week, and absolutely love reading everyone's posts. I will try to share as much as I can. Sitting in a small cluster of oaks tonight about 150 yards into the woods from a corn field and winter wheat field. Would like to be out on the field edge to see more but am resisting temptation. Passed on a doe with 2 fawns from here on my last sit in this spot 6 days ago. Temp is 79 and mostly clear skies here in red lake County

Last night had a shooter buck Big Red. Shot a little high and he jumped the string. Went right over his shoulder and into the dirt. Sat another 45 mins and he didn't come back. Same spot tonight and I have a feeling he's coming back. He usually comes to this stand two days in a row and then goes elsewhere for 3-4 days. We'll see what happens. Aiming for his heart tonight.
Anyone out tonite? No luck for me last night, but did see 5 deer with one being a shooter in my winter wheat field. Same wind as yesterday, so I got out early and dropped a stand and trimmed some trees.......bowhunting is definitely a game of cat and mouse. Hopefully I didn't scare every deer in the county. Hunt safe, and don't get too comfy in your climbers.....that's when accidents happen.
