Booner, was that a DIY hunt or with an outfitter? My dad and I have three points each and are looking for a place to hunt, preferably DIY public land. It will be a rifle hunt.

Well I checked all my cams& plots to put together a strategy for this week. I have 2 shooters using one of my plots during daylight on a semi regular basis. More shooters on other farms but they are night pics...& one stolen camera...

We had good movement here yesterday evening. There were doe out in the beans before 5pm. I think I saw 8 or 9, all does. I was hunting the piece of public ground that's close to my house. I've had 3 sits so far this year, and have yet to see my first set of bone. Hopefully that changes soon.

Hi guys, not been out much but now the weather is colder with high around 65 2moz I am going to start making my trips to the farm I hunt which is about a hour drive away. Every year I have killed at least 2 does on the land and every year I get at least 2 bucks on camera that are 130+ 2 years ago I killed my 142" there so I know it's going to be exciting since I haven't put any cameras up there this year due to moving and getting a promotion. I will be taking a few cameras to hang as well. Will keep you all updated.

Day one was pretty good. I had a spike & 6 turkeys come by. My wife had 6 bucks in front of her at once and saw a pretty good buck fight at 40yds. No shooters though...all 1 & 2 year olds. Weather & conditions are exactly the same tonight...so we are in the same stands again

Way to go man! Sounds like you stuck with it. Any good lessons we can learn from?
