Hey NC hunters! I am making my first trip to North Carolina and I would love to bow hunt while I'm there. Can anyone tell me what I should do to see if I can get a tag? Also, does anyone know hunting areas outside Wilmington? Any help would be appreciated.

Start with Http://www.Ncwildlife.org for regs, license purchase info and check the where to hunt section if you want to hunt public.

I bought my NC Sportsman Package Hunting/Fishing//Big Game License/Permit a few days ago and I noticed the price jumped from $40 to $50. Crazy!!! I am sure that are thousands of hunters that do this. Look at the monies they are making from such a huge jump in price.

Yeah just about all the license costs went up this year. Fortunately last years license is still good for a year from purchase...over the years this has stretched me out to almost October :(

Like he said...Buy some Sawyers or permethrin concentrate and mix it...one application lasts about 6 weeks...you'll never regret that purchase.

Yeah I know. I always renew mine right before hunting season. Check your Big Game permit. If I am not mistaken, they normally expire in June. I just want you to be sure. Good Hunting this year bro.
