Ill be back out to my farm on Friday. I have to spray some fields with tordon (WILL KILL EVERYTHING) I have a stand that has become over grown with poison and well I get it by looking at it. So I am going to go in and spray it down. Don't ever make the mistake of burning it, that puts it into the air and then the rash is 3 times as bad

Well didn't make it to the bow shoot this morning. Woke up early to a bad rain storm so decided to skip it. Was able to get to bass pro and buy a few things I need for this season and get in a little practice after the rain ended.

Got a surprise this morning in the way of three squirrel hunters on my river bottom lease. Had a short discussion with them and ushered them off the property. Their eyes got real big when I pulled out my phone and auto dialed the local CO at the end of our conversion. Of course calling him by his first name while on speaker phone and asking about the family got their attention and put a giddy up in their step!

Any way -- Here is the reason I was over there to start with.

    I'm Back
Was a blast sitting in camp getting closer to my 33 year old son. The weather was this morning when we got up +4 with snow on the mountain tops and gusting wind which kept us of the lake most of the 4 days. We did manage to fish probably 9 hours in the 4 days. Father ,son combine for 0 fish . Not a great trip for catching fish ,but very rewarding getting close with my son which I miss as he's been married for 7 years and we don't see one another quite as much as the ole days. We did have a few to drink . Now I can get ready for the season :sheep:.
Great droptine buck there Bonehead! Tress passeres, dang!

Made it out to the farm this morning planning on spraying some round up for a late season plot only to find my sprayer is busted and wouldn't work. Gonna have to go back out Thursday with another sprayer and get the job done. I was able to get a decent section that Noel8998(Tammy) and I were able to clear out last week burned. Surprisingly it burned pretty well. Checked one camera overlooking a mock scrape that I put in and only had one buck on camera. A retarted buck I call Nick. Really hoping that someone on the farm takes this buck. Guess I will if I get a chance but would love for someone else to! LOL

Ya you and me both! Actually been thinking about hitting the woods soon. I have been getting some coyote pics from one of my main stands so thinking maybe trying to get out before deer opener and try to lay the smack down on a yote or two!

( Sounds like it was still a great time youngfart! To bad you weren't able to catch any fish but sure it still beat working!) Retired Ferg! Time with my son was awesome Ferg. I was just reading the regs for some info and realized that the season opened today! :argue: I missed opening day! LMAO and I thought I had a few days to move a couple stands, got to do what needs to be done I guess. To warm to be out anyways, I never have any luck early season cept for early last year on Double Dx4 on the 8th. Hit a branch and cut 2 off in a 3 inch opening at 13 yards. He ended up scoring 213. Neighbour ended up shooting him during the rutt and I scored him for him. I watched him grow for 4 years till his end ! Still have 3 more on my hit list 2 that will go over 200 and the other 190ish
