You didn't make the cultipacker did ya? We've been keeping our eyes out for a small one for lawn tractor/ATV type ability.
I lucked into that one. It was sitting behind an old lady's house I did some work for with weeds grown up around it...Got it for $25
You suck...we've been thinking of making our own....just gotta decide yes and run with it in the offseason some time.
Hey, nice tiller. I have the exact same one. Just curious, have you had any issues with it? I've broken the drive chain more times than I care to admit, and I've sheared off the drive shaft twice.
Hmm...I haven't had anything like that happen. When I first got it it seemed like it has no power until I discovered abb Allen screw on the clutch that is backed out at the factory to keep the clutch from fully engaging to prevent rust during storage. After I tightened it up it's been a beast
That's cool. I work mine pretty hard, and have used it a lot in heavy clay, virgin ground. I've gotten a lot of work out of it over that last few years.
Our one farmer said never use a tiller on virgin ground. He'll always run a plow or disc through it first as he said he's burned up far too many pull behind tillers on hard clay or virgin ground.
I would agree in most cases. The first year I did this plot I used a disk...ever since I've used a tiller.
Well, you gotta work with what you got I have disk, but it's a POS and a waste of time trying to get it to cut any sod. Good news is that I have a friend that's been having me do his plot prep for that last several years and he has finally bought a tractor. That means less wear and tear on my equipment, and he has a disk on his tractor, so we have talked about trading work. Him disking, and me tilling.
