I got out on a small 100 acre lake right next to my house yesterday, but didn't have any luck. It was nice just to get out and make some casts though.

I love fishing the Mississippi for smallmouth in the summer, up here the river isn't 1/4 mile wide and is rocky and average depth is around 3'.

Anyone fishing? Been good in Cali for a couple months already should start getting good in all the cold states soon. Anyone excited to go smash on some bucket mouths?

Great start to spring! Caught a bunch more just like these, all on a Mike's Mad Mouse and a 6 wt Garrison 212e-taper bamboo rod! Gonna be a great year... 100_0936.jpg 100_0937.jpg

We had a great evening here in OK. 2 limits of nice keepers. Plus my son caught several smaller fish.

It was 85 that day and zero wind. Talk about hot. Our water temp is already in the mid 70's.

Went out to the local creek this morning and caught some smallies out of my kayak. Anyone else kayak fish?

Love the smallies my favorite fish pics reminded me that I need to order a new prop shaft and prop. Very rocky and shallow on my home stretch of river, props are sacrificial in my area. I should just buy a jet but I get 2-3 years out of a prop with my tunnel hull.

I went to Bass pro and got mine. Its an ascend fs12t. Not the most expensive or a higher end model but great entry level. Its has plenty of room for my solo duck hunts also. Should be able to hold everything i need.

It has a huge front and back area. Great for the pup and decoys.

How stable is it? I can do jumping jacks in my stealth boat.

Hah! I'm not doing any jumping jacks. I can stand up and paddle/fish though.

Hit a pretty secluded pond for 20 minutes today. Got this, I'm assuming it's a crappie. Green pumpkin 5 inch senko Texas rigged. Is this a good size? First one ever.[IMG][IMG]

    I'm a size 13 for reference.
