Does anyone have a scale or know off the top of their head what a bulldog nock collar weighs? Sorry, I don't have a little scale...yet.
The ones for the Maxima Hunters weigh 4 grains. You can go on the Carbon Express website and see the weights for all the different arrows. Blessings. .........Pastorjim
Do yall think they actually do anything? I ask cause I just got in some maxima reds with them installed
They stop ya from damaging your arrow if you shoot groups. Other than that idk ha. I've got a few that have little nicks all over then from where they deflected a arrow.
Honestly, I think this was carbon expresses way to cover up a flaw in an older line of arrows. I bought a dozen piledrivers when they first came out and within a month over half of them had cracks on the nock end. None were shot in tight groups or hit anything. I called carbon express and after a few weeks of dealing with their BS they sent me another dozen. Guess what.....same thing. A few months down the rd im at my local pro shop and see the pile drivers now all have a little metal collar on the nock end. Seems suspicious to me. This is just an opinion and I have no valid data to back this up......just something I believe
Those collars help protect them to an extent, but they aren't the best option out there. I owned a dozen Maxima Blue Streak a couple of years ago and found them brittle to begin with. The collars didn't do much for them other than give them a shiny cool blue collar on the end. In my opinion, the best nock end protection out there is the Easton Uni bushing system. Unfortuntely for most, if we shoot lighted nocks, there isn't an option for them yet. In my old age, I have finally realized groups are simply arrow killers, regardless of arrow choice. Don't shoot many groups and you'll save a ton of arrows.
