    Memory foam?
    Memory foam/gel?
    Innerspring?

What do you recommend and why?
Also what brands, apparently there are more than I knew existed.

Look into Latex. We just bought one a couple months back from SleepEZ.com. It's amazing how small the mattress arrives (rolled up and wrapped in a few layers of plastic). It can be used on both sides with one being firm and the other medium firm. We're sleeping on the firm side. I'm actually sleeping a helluva lot better and I can remember my dreams now. :) We upgraded from a saggy pillow top. It's still too early to tell how it will hold up but I'm not complaining for $800.

I've never heard that but definitely feel like I'm getting better sleep. At least my back isn't hurting anymore. Either way, the saggy pillow top had to go.

Anyone have any expierence with a sleep number bed? We went to the store and got the full tour, and it felt amazing on my setting or sleep number...but most new beds feel great until I get them home.

As of right now after reading a million and a half differant reviews on all kinds of mattresses I'm leaning towards the Bed in a Box memory foam/gel with the silk top. Less than 2 grand and a ton of positive reviews. More so than TempurPedic actually. I'm hoping that a new bed will help alleviate the pains I've been having in my shoulders and neck because it's becoming unbearable.

We have the sleep number, worst purchase we ever made. But we only bought one of the $1800 dollar ones, I would hope that the more expensive ones are better.
