Well igot permission to hunt two days at a friends land. He said that there isnt any big bucks, but with the luck I have been haaving I would be glad to take a spike. This will also give my other hunting land a chance to rest. Im going out next sunday to scout, and next monday and tuesday to hunt.

Well guys a nightmare season is just getting worse.
Last Wednesday I saw a dead buck on my way to take the kids to bball. Well I got a pic later that evening from a sheriff buddy. Sure enough it was my big one. I'll try and get some pics posted up. He was a very tall 12. My buddy said the picture did it no justice, it was an absolute monster.

Then on Friday night I saw where one of the guys at the farm next door shot the other big monster. He was even bigger than the 12 that got hit.

My neighbor actually passed the first 12 because it was with the other and it was bigger, but he never got a good shot.

Since they've been hunting right on the property line it's pushing the deer off, keeping them in the big woods.

Probably not going to be able to contribute. Sorry guys. I don't think I'll be able to get back down to the cabin. I went out to Maryland for deer and ducks. Saw some off in the distance but they never came close enough.

Sorry I haven't been around much, family issues got in the way.
My season was a bust, when I was able to get out I couldn't get anything to come in close enough for a shot.
So I'm not going to be able to add to our score sheet.
Going to have to take the summer and scout some new land to access.

    Don

I decided to throw in the towel on my season. Was going to take a doe late season but decided with the population lower in Wisconsin that I'd like to see it's in the populations best interest to give the fawn factories a pass this season. It was a fun year, and starting to scout for next season. Enjoy the new years everyone and good luck out there!

I'm not giving up! Planning on getting out the next three days. Had a stare down with a doe on Saturday, but no shot. Need to fill freezer!

Tennessee ended yesterday. I wanted to get a last day hunt in to finish it out but it was cold, windy, and rainy. The couch was much more comfortable.
Thank you guys for putting up with me, always good to interact with some other members of the forum. I'm glad I got my contest rookie season over. Maybe some of us will meet again next season. Good luck if you still have some season left.
