    Without a doubt. Heck, I get scared just switching from my lifeline to the tree strap. My stand moving at all would freak me out!

    I am a ladder stand hunter, no need for a harness. I will never, ever go up in a tree with a climber or platform.

    I must be a freak of nature, don't own a range finder never have.. and have shot tons of 3d without one.. I can est a deers dist by a yard or two every time out to 100 yds after that it's a tad sketchy...
    Several of my hunting buddies have tried to test me with their range finders...

    That is not to say they are not an important tool for most bow hunters...

    Same here, I own one but never comes out of my pack when hunting. I can guess yardage pretty accurately.

    How is this possible? The ladders I have are all big wide platforms not the cheap tiny ones. It is called situational awareness.

    Well that is one thing I will never do up in a tree, and yes I can say never. Sitting on a stand is painful for me I can last about 3 hours before the pain is unbearable, so sleep is not an option.

    After re-reading everyone else's posts I'd change mine from range finder to safety harness. It's a must in a treestand.
