Any opinions on fletchings? Ive been using NAP Quickfletch (the ones you dip in hot water) with the blazer Twister vanes but its starting to get a little expensive now that im fletching arrows for 3 ppl (my bro and one sis both recently got bows) so im wondering about starting to do my own fletching... or i can take them to my local gander mountain and have them fletched for $3.00 a piece, is that a good idea or should i stick with my tried and true method?

I have only used the Bitzenburger , its pricy but built to last. I am sure there are other good ones but like I said I have only used the Bitzenburger. Beefie

Get the bitzenburger. Just about every archery shop uses a bitz to fletch their arrows. There's no other choice really when considering a jig
I was in your same position a year ago, and decided to go with the Arizona ez fletch mini. I was an arrow fetching rookie at the time, but now have done about 6 dozen arrows and really like the jig. I don't see it lasting forever as it's made out of plastic, but It is very easy to use and operate for a beginner fletcher. I highly recommend it. When I wear it out, or something plastic on it inevitably breaks I'll be stepping into the bitzenberger for sure. Once you have the basic concept and skill of fletching an arrow down the bitzenberger is probably the most well built and versatile jig out there. It seemed intimidating to me having never fletches an arrow before which is why I opted for Arizona mini at the time.

^^^^This. I bought a Bitz in they late 1970's. Still using it....and according to my buddies I am the hardest person to please. I guess perfect is barely good enough for me.
