These darn doe are getting the best of me. Came in down wind tonight. Three of them. The never picked up my scent but they were clearly on edge. They never really settled down enough for me to feel comfortable to draw back. I was hunting in a tree stand that doesn't give me a lot of cover. If I had been in the blind, I would have gotten it done. Hopefully I'll get one on the ground tomorrow!
I've been off the grid since my Buck. I'm really needing to get back in the stand and bust a doe for the team. May try for a mid day hunt Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DUBBYA is on his way down to start hunting as we speak. Hopefully we will be able to find him a buck over the next few dye and add some points to the board.
Will have my buck scored and entered tonight, been busy and lazy. Looking to hunt a little this weekend.
I think his buck might put us in the lead but not by much. We desperately need to add some does to the score card if anyone has the opportunity while they are out. Good luck everyone and I hope you guys all had great holidays.
I'm working on it This happens to me every year. I pass plenty of doe in the early season and then struggle to get one in the late season.
Haven't been out for a while, but probably will this week since I am off . Not sure I am gonna pull down on a doe unless I go to public land. My areas are being depleted by a few guys that are brown and down in archery and firearm seasons.
I scanned the scorecard and it looks like we still need quite a few more points to 3peat. Go get em! Next year I plan to hunt a couple different states so I hopefully I can get a buck again.
Near as I can tell we should be somewhere around 1131 points. I think that will get us close won't it.
From what I can see, Team 4 has 1010 on the books with 2 does to be added once Fitz does the update. Giving them 1,110 pts We have 881 5/8 on the books with a 108 3/8 buck, a doe and whatever Lilwhitetail's buck scores. 1040 plus that buck. So I would say we are probably in the lead by the narrowest margin. We could really seal the deal with a couple(say 3) doe. I'll do what I can to get one on the ground. Lets finish this year strong so we can all be back next year to defend a Three-peat.
I think team 4 has a 86" buck that wasn't added the last go around due to missing info. So they have at least 186" to add.
