Yeah he was definitely a decent younger buck... Debating I may take the bow tomorrow if I get to make it out.
Helllllllllllllo everybody! How are we all doing on this the greatest day of the year aka my birthday!!! Today I turn 22 and decided to reframe from a long night of indulging in some adult beverages last night. Hit the woods early this morning and had two does come in and bed down 60'yards away at first light for about 30'mins finally had this one come in at about 30 yards and decided to give myself an early birthday present. Shot her right in the boiler room and she went about 10 yards and crashed. Couldn't have started this day off better and to get some more points on the board makes it even better. Needless to say I'll be indulging in some drinks tonight Cheers boys, here's to a great year!

Awesome Blood!!! I hunted till noon before work and saw some does and a yearling....starting to kick myself for passing what many have made me think was a 120 inch...just seemed to be a 2.5 and rather not but dangit if it isn't looking like buck tag soup here. Gonna keep trying fellas clear through our last day as much as possible! Meanwhile keep laying the does down fellas!!!
Didn't get to make it out yesterday, got caught up in Christmas preparations. But I'm out today and with the bow instead of the shotgun. Came to a different public land spot hoping some of the shotgun hunters push something to me. Phone signal isn't that great and also I left my external battery charger at home on accident. Well fellas.....camera pulled showed I missed the Wacky buck (one side got crazy in velvet) by one day Sunday...he chased does all day Saturday around the stand I was in from about 9am till noon. Story of my year. Everything else is looking nocturnal and I cannot wait for the weather to turn cold and snowey cuz that is when I'll down something if I do....I have this week available for some afternoon hunts as well as I have Saturday off....so fingers crossed!

Man guys, I'm sorry I have not checked in with the team in a while. It was not for lack of hunting! Traveling with work and working on buying land and building a house, family and constantly being in the woods hunting. As a short recap. Nothing down yet. I hunted multiple days at the end of the official archery season in PA. Played cat and mouse with a really, really big buck. Unfortunately, never saw him close enough for a shot. Was lined up with a smaller 6 that I did not take. Had bad timing once again on a good buck that was kicked right to my stand! Problem is I was getting in it at the time... Had another good buck following a doe about 60 yards out and would not come my way. Was hitting the calls hard and he would not get off here scent trail. During that time, I had no close encounters with doe so, that was not even an option. We start back up after Christmas and I am thinking of swapping the blackpowder with the bow or Xbow. If that happens, I will be back in the stand and shoot a buck or a doe. I'm hopeful I can bring some jerky to the table and some points! Just know I'll still be at it hard until the season officially ends!

I knew pick00l is our darkhorse for a late season buck! Good luck fellas and great to hear from ya pick. I'm taking Friday afternoon off to hunt (maybe even tomorrow afternoon) and I got all day Saturday....winds will dictate what bucks I'm after. Good chance of a decent 115-125 if one place, chance at 130s and up (RD) at the other....time will tell. I'm still calling 4 does and 1 buck yet is gonna happen...maybe 2 bucks.
Yup, every single deer that I would shoot out there and even some of the borderline bucks made it through gun. Has never happened before to me....even had a newcomer that is a definite No Doubter start showing his face.
