Now if only I could shoot a buck and 1 other person on the team and we would have this contest locked down! I don't know what's going on this year, This has been one of my worst years in awhile. But a good thing is we still have 2 months left!

Got out tonight and only saw 1 doe, but one of the club members took his wife out and she shot her first deer tonight! A nice 7 pt and another kid shot his first buck tonight also, A little 3pt. Every body at the club tonight was so pumped and it was a good time going out and tracking the deer in the rain. Its nice that the bucks are still moving. The total so far on the club this year is 8 bucks and only a Few does from all the members. I am still looking for a good buck, but my standards this year might be coming down as the season goes on. Its really hard to get a buck in late season on this property, but I have done it before.

Yes still get out 2-3 sits a week and have been taking the bow thru gun season. Its so slow this week, out of the last 3 sits I have seen 1 doe. Opening day of gun season I saw 3 bucks and had the biggest buck on the club bed down about 150 yards out in front of me a hour before dark and stay there til dark. He got bumped by another member, then circled around and bedded right in front of him. I got in early before him because I knew he would run him out when he walked in, but the buck only walked 80 yards from him then layed down. My plan almost worked, but the guy saw the buck laying there and told multiply members about him, now every body moved in and blew the buck out. I going to wait after gun season and try to move in on him again.

That sucks. I had a monster 10 chasing a doe behind my house Monday afternoon. Seems like there is a few does coming back in around here. Good luck next week, things should start getting back to normal after Saturday.

Starting to get bucks showing up on 1 of my cameras during day light. So I am going to keep pushing after a buck for the last month of the season. How is every one during? Any one getting out?

I'm down in south Alabama this week. Been out here a few times and seen one doe and a pile of turkeys. Headed home tomorrow to start doing some coyote hunting.

Well guys I'm tired of winter already. Anyone else already have turkey calls out practicing? I will probably be going back to Bama for a long weekend to hunt this spring.

Hey Ruger do you hunt around your house or go out to western MD? I try to get out for a few Turkey hunts a year, but there aren't many turkeys around me. Its rare for me to see any turkeys on the propertys I hunt, but I still try. I plan on doing a trip this year for opening weekend to western Md public land. My buddies go every year for as long as I can remember and most of them shoot a bird or two every year.

I hunt near the house, there are starting to be a lot of birds in Harford county. Only made it out once last year but this year I plan to get out a bunch of times.

Yeah I enjoyed this contest more than the main one this year. If we don't do the state contest next season we should at least keep a MD thread going.
