I can't get over that buck trying to fight him, who does that? You'd never believe that decoy trick would work on a whitetail, I've seen it with turkeys but not a buck of that caliber. Pretty cool indeed.
lol...Steve from the sounds of it I don't think you should be out there hiding behind any deer decoys with those neighbors
Good god us bow hunters get the woods to ourselves for so long before the gun hunt, let them do what they want.
Bro... they are more like that around here than not. There's a part of my property I can't (wont) hunt during gun. There is a legitimate chance I would get shot.... true story. I've had slugs flying by me more than once from deer drives. Last year I counted 14 shots at an 80lb. button buck running through a cut corn field.
Brad, I have been to many 3-d shoots in Wisconsin that featured moving deer targets. I believe that it stemmed from the days when everyone shot recurve bows. Incidentally, those guys were pretty good at hitting the mark.
Yeah that's Whitetail Adrenaline. I have most of their dvd's and really enjoy watching them. Something way different than any other hunting group out there. Sponsor free, all public land, and all on the ground, pretty impressive.
Absolutely they should remain legal. I only read the 1st page of replies, but the two Matts made great responses. My only beef is that often times (at least here in PA) a lot of trespassing goes on during drives. Otherwise have at it and stir those deer up and get them moving.
I was more talking about their bow hunts. And in my opinion their bowhunting style is impressive. But I'm not sure what you want to call it.
How isn't it impressive? I know lots of people who wouldn't even try to hunt public land. And for the deer they get on film and on the ground? That's the exact word to use, is impressive. And as for drives, if its on public land then its a different story. We have 500 acres of land that we leave untouched until the last weekend of rifle season and then every other year we will drive it. Can't argue the results, running over the hill won't cause that much stress on a deer to cause damage. With proper posters position it can be a great set up. Just my 2 cents.
One of the reasons I dislike drives... I have a group of 6 guys come a cross the field from me going to drive an 80 acre chunk of timber... One of them is standing on the corner of their property 100yds from me... Doesn't mean it should be illegal as they are on their property. But it sure pisses a guy off when this stuff happens. Why would that piss you off? He can stand on the corner of his land if he wants. This a terrible reason to hate deer drives... Basically you're saying that the guy shouldn't use his entire land because he's only 100 yds from you....
I should have clarified. He wasn't on his land... He was on the guy who owns the fields land. The other 4 people he was with also trespassed onto our land but we brushed it off. And I didn't state I hate them. I partici Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My brother walked up on 5 of them in a line along our 4 wheel trail. And I didn't state I hate them. I participate in them but I have respect for other hunters and their property. It's done and passed now and as I've stated before I feel deer drives should remain legal for those who want to do so on their land. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
