Thanks The youngest one is 13 and this will be his first hunt, more excited for him than myself Older brother is 17 and went with me a couple years ago then moved to Montana with his uncle. He's moved back and is looking forward to hunting again. Sounds like you're getting a lot of young people into the sport! Hopefully that refuge hunt goes well. I'm going to be hunting on Crescent Lake NWR this year for mule deer

Well we got skunked on our management hunt, saw two deer and both were little bucks Temps were in the 70's so nothing was moving and I still think they are wrong on their deer numbers in the refuge Since the floods of 2011/2012 I haven't seen any where near the numbers they had before Don
I'm thinking it will be also. Deer are rutting here like crazy right now. I'm gonna be on the crescent lake national wildlife refuge. Pretty big area so I should be able to get away from people.
muzzy season starts monday and normal gun starts a week from this saturday. got a couple bucks in mind that I have been able to get within about 80 yds in a ladder stand but when i move closer in my climber, things dont work out. i have left that area alone for two weeks and am waiting for the right wind next week to hopefully go in and get it done!
Only does and small bucks the big boys are in full lock down. They were out and about all week but sat the switch flipped and it's a ghost town. Should be looking for new does in the next day or 2 and I will be there to intercept.
