Over the last 4 months I have watched all 6 seasons of the SOA ... The beginning was interesting .... but after watching 6 seasons of it ... it is the most unreal, depressing, show with plot lines that have gone as far from what the show started at that it does not resemble the original show. So...what is the draw? The wanton killing? The blood? What? Just want to see what happens next? Is there ANY happiness in this show? I think I laughed 3 times throughout 6 seasons...
Lol I haven't seen from season 6 on. I'm a fan. I feel where your coming from. I just think that's the story line man. When you live that outlaw life style there's never a real moment of happiness. It's crazy. Somewhat exagerated plots but I like it over all. My favorite Characters are Jax & Chibs...For me the worst moment in that show was when......... ************SPOILER ALERT***************Do not read past this line if you have not seen past season 5!!!! was when they killed OPE man!! My eyes watered man! no lie! I was so mad!!!! I felt like I was there behind that glass with Jax n them.....I swear I gave up that show for like 5months...
For me it's just because I've been watching it since the first season. I must say, the show is getting pretty out of hand.
If you haven't laughed more than 3 times at the stuff Tigg says/does... you need to adjust your sense of humor. haha I really enjoy the show. It's a pretty depressing show, but all dramas end up being this way. Shows don't survive when everything is always hunky dory... I enjoy the show because Kurt Sutter is the best in the business at keeping you guessing. Whatever you think will happen next, often the exact opposite actually happens. I do admit I'm glad this is the final season though. I've started following a few other shows and don't like watching TV enough to follow more than 3 or so.
Tigg is without a doubt, hilarious! I do have to say, my mouth was left open several times throughout the seasons ... but the show has approached super hero "reality ... if you catch my drift...
^^^this^^^ Wannabe bikers and tough guys. I'd hate to see them run into the real thing. I know I'd be $&@#ing my pants if I were playing dress-up like that.
Breaking Bad has a better plot but is a much much slower plot. It's almost unwatchable for a few episodes. Still my favorite show ever, but only due to the ending.
Are you accusing the hollywood actors from this show of not being murderous drug dealing gun running gangsters? Or the regular joes who watch it for entertainment value? I can assure you I have never killed anyone, and don't plan to have any run ins with an IRA backed biker gang anytime soon either. I guess I should stick to watching reality TV shows about pharmacists who enjoy bowhunting.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a SOA fan, I've seen every episode from the first to the latest. I just enjoy Kurt Sutter's style and the way he plays the show out... Oh and I'm far from a metrosexual ... While I do agree it is a "men's soap" it beats the hell out of most things on TV these days. Breaking Bad was also an awesome show, one of the best ever done for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As a rider of over 30 yrs, I happen to enjoy the show mainly because of the unbelievable situations the characters find them selves in. I dont think it's any more "unbelieveable" as most cop shows on TV now a days either... I mean if any one cop where to end up shooting a different bad guy every week, dont you think they would have been arrested themselves? LOL. And asfar as being a "wannabe biker", like other lifestyles out there, 95% of the "bikers" out there are no different then anyone else, they just happen to enjoy riding and the camaraderie... similar to bow hunters. And to say that you would be afraid to have a run in with a "real biker", then it shows me you probably wouldnt know a real biker if he introduced himself.
I think the original objectives and plot lines were great. When the series exploded in popularity it started being nothing but shock value. Now season seven is a desperate attempt to get Katey Segal an award. I'll watch it to the end just because I've followed it for seven years.
