Been watching a bunch of otters play and fish in the pond ever since I got in my stand.

You want a challenge, try filming those squirrelly little bastards!

 

Now they're in the old beaver lodge.

 

Just had my first legal buck encounter.



He came in across the pond to get a drink. I'm pretty sure he's the little guy on the card I pulled on the way in.



I also got a few of Smokey.

 

Would you shoot a younger buck or are you set on an older deer???

 

Probably not a fork like him. Not sure about the little basket I saw from the lodge the other night though. Probably depends on the circumstances. If it gets me excited, I'll most likely shoot. If not, I'll simply enjoy videoing.

An old mineral site.

 

Where was that trail cam at? Did you move the one from the pond?

Need some wolves down here to thin the coyotes out

 

That cam is about 60 yards down the trail from this tree. The other G30 is still out in the pond in front of me.

I'll check that one before I leave.

I just had a little white weasel hunting under my stand. If it was the same one I saw last time, his coat changed quick!

 

Now there's a muskrat out for a swim.

I'm the rodent king. Otters, weasels, mink, muskrats.... No beavers or mice yet.

 

Wait, all but the rat are mustelidae.
